Our Latest Coastal Home Improvements

Our Latest Coastal Home Improvements

Western Australia offers scenic places to live along its pristine coastline, which is one of its many benefits. Therefore, when we have the opportunity to work on coastal home improvements with sweeping ocean views, we enjoy helping families make the most of their homes. Below you will find an overview of our latest home renovation project, which helped breathe new life into a coastal home improvements Falcon property in Mandurah’s southern suburbs.

Brief for the Design:

On our first visit to the Falcon residence to discuss the client’s requirements, the family was very clear that they wanted to add some glitz and glamour to their beachside residence. There was a dated visual aesthetic at the property that was in desperate need of new materials, design techniques, and landscaping to help introduce a contemporary, modern twist to this classic property. As this was a family property, we introduced materials that were adapted specifically to the needs of the family, providing a blend of comfort, style and functionality to ensure the home-delivered was on all fronts while maintaining quality, space, and accessibility.

Introducing the Challenge:

The property’s proximity to the ocean was one of the biggest challenges we had to consider for this project, which in turn affected the type of materials we chose. As a result of the effects of salt, weather, and exposure to the elements, properties near the coast, rivers, or any body of water often suffer from an increased level of degradation, rusting, and wear and tear. The property was in need of a fresh new look suited to the coastal home improvements conditions when we first visited it, and that was one of our initial requirements. As a result, we delivered a comprehensive renovation that involved both internal and external work without the need to completely rebuild the home.

Creating an entryway for the coast:

The entryway of our Sanibel bungalow was gloomy and dark. Our island home doesn’t reflect the sunny, beachy surroundings, so we decided to update it. The coastal home improvements entryway update is simple, organized, and can be recreated in any home, even if you don’t live near an ocean. If you love beaches like so many people all over the world, use them as inspiration for your own home decor. The beachy look for the foyer:

We knew we had a bit of work to do before purchasing the home in 2020, but it was nothing like the renovations we had done previously. Although that home required extensive renovations (it needed a gut to remodel! ), this home only needed cosmetic updates, as it had last been renovated in 2008. Several minor fixes were also needed, so we took care of those first, and then moved on to the fun stuff.

This is the End Result:

By introducing modern materials, architectural styles, and contemporary finishes, we were able to turn this weather-beaten coastal home Improvements property into a fresh, new, and contemporary residence. The property’s interior features natural stone and American oak flooring, which extends outside with a combination of Scyon Linea Weatherboard and exposed aggregate on paths and driveways to provide a sense of vibrancy. During the renovations of this Falcon home, we were enchanted with the natural stone surrounding the retaining walls, as well as the central fireplace and chimney, which helped create a look that was elegant and high-end in the living room. Having undergone their home renovation, the client is now enjoying their property even more than before. Our renovation experts worked closely with the family to ensure that all aspects of the brief were met and that updates to the property were made using the best materials and design techniques to ensure the longevity of the project for many years to come.
